There are lots of recreation activities available within AF for AFCA residents.  We have our own pool and pavilion, a splash pad, a playground area, and a 3-court tennis facility.  Also available to residents are a covered basketball pavilion at Whispering Pines Elementary, a crushed-stone track at Humble Middle School, and lots of open areas for general walking and recreation.

Pool

Our pool opens on Memorial Day weekend in May and remains every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until school starts in August.  After school starts, it is open weekends only (can you tell where the life guards come from?) and the pool closes after Labor Day weekend.  Holiday weekends change the schedule slightly, as the pool will be open that Monday and closed for weekly maintenance on Tuesday thru Thursday.  See the Pool Hours page for a detailed schedule.

Pool tags are required for each person who enters the pool pavilion.  To obtain tags, you must be a current resident and your maintenance fees must be paid up to date.

Pool tags can be purchased at the CAM office.

The tags will be PHOTO ID TAGS rather than wrist bands so everyone in your family will be required to have one.

Remember, ALL MAINTENANCE FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO PURCHASE YOUR TAGS.  Tags will be $10.00 each and payable in cash or check.

AFHOA 2010 Pool Tag Application Procedure

You MUST go to the CAM office (281-852-1155) to get your tags !!!

It takes a few things to get a photo pool tag:

   1.  Your maintenance fees must be paid.

   2.  You must pay a $10.00 administrative fee per tag.

   3. At the time of application CAM will take your picture. (If anyone in your household cannot be present  at this time, bring a passport SIZE or smaller with you).

Pool tags are changed every year, so you have to get new ones each year.  You and members of your household must have pool tags to gain entry to the pool.  As a resident of AFCA, you cannot be the "guest" of another AFCA resident.  Relatives, friends, and others who are visiting you on a temporary basis and who are NOT residents of AFCA may gain entry to the pool by accompanying you (with your valid tag's) and by paying a $2.00/day fee for each visitor. Visitor will be limited to 1 per tag / maximum 8 per family. Homeowners who have visiting family will be allowed exception on per case basis.

Note:  Your pool tags are for your use only.  Loaning them to others subjects you to loss of your tags and pool privileges for the remainder of the season.

Tennis Courts

The tennis courts are open year round.  Access is via a key (which also allows access to the splash pad) which you can obtain after filling out a small registration form and paying a $15.00 administrative fee.  This key must be renewed after the beginning of January of each year.  For more information on obtaining a key, see the Tennis Application page or call CAM, our management company, at 281-852-1155).

                                                      Splash Pad

The splash pad is operational when the pool is open.  Access is via the pool complex.
